BRUSSELS Joe Mauer Jersey , June 19 (Xinhua) -- It's possible for the European Union (EU) and Britain to strike a fair Brexit deal which is "far better than no deal", EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier told reporters on Monday.

"Both for the EU and the UK, a fair deal is possible, and far better than no deal, that is what I say to David today, that is why we will work all the time with the UK and never against the UK," Michel Barnier said at a joint press conference with his British counterpart David Davis, after wrapping up the opening salvo of the Brexit talks in Brussels.

He hailed that the the first session was "important", "open", and "useful indeed to start off on the right foot as the clock is ticking".

"Today we agreed on dates, we agreed on organization, and we agreed on priorities for the negotiation," he said, outlining a two-step negotiation.

"In the first step, we will deal with the most pressing issues, we must lift the uncertainty caused by Brexit; we want to make sure that the withdrawal of UK happens in an orderly manner.

"In the first step, the negotiation rounds will be broken down into three groups -- citizen rights, the single financial settlement, and other separation issues.

"These groups will report back to their respective principles during each negotiation week. David Davis and I, as chief EU negotiator, will discuss the issues together, tackle difficulties, and lift obstacles.

"Then in the second step, we scope our future partnership; we also agree on how we structure our tools."

Barnier said the two sides will have one week of negotiation every month, and use the time in between to work on proposals and exchange them.

"There will be no austerity on my side, I will display a constructive attitude firmly based on interests and support of the (EU) 27, and I will all the time seek to the continued support of the European Parliament," he said.

DAMASCUS, July 15 (Xinhua) -- As many as 900 Kurdish fighters have entered Syria via Turkey over the past few days to defend a predominantly Kurdish city in northern Syria against the al-Qaida- breakaway Islamic State (IS) militant group, activists reported Tuesday.

The Kurdish fighters crossed into Syria to join other Kurdish militant groups to defend the city of Ein al-Arab, known as Koban in the Kurdish language, against the IS, whose fighters have besieged the country's third largest predominantly Kurdish city.

According to the report, the fighters have arrived in Ein al- Arab upon the calls of the Kurdistan Workers Party, known as the PKK.

The downfall of the city would mean that the IS could swiftly move east toward other Kurdish cities in Syria, and the Syrian Kurds have been deadlocked in battles with the IS since last year.

The IS, previously known as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, has seized large chunks of territories in Iraq and Syria. Recently, the group declared the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate in areas under its control in Syria and Iraq and shortened its name to the Islamic State only, becoming the strongest among other jihadist groups in Syria and the richest radical organization in the Arab world.

Syria's Kurds amount to some 15 percent of Syria's 23 million populations, among which most live in the north of the embattled country. They tried to keep their areas immune from military operations during the conflict and retain some kind of "autonomy."

However, fighting has broken out in northern Syria between the Kurds and other jihadists groups, namely the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front and recently the IS, covering all the Kurdish areas in northern Syria.

The Kurds have so far managed to hold their ground in a number of Kurdish areas but they feel threatened by the growing power of the IS.

Reconstruction of the scalp following burns presents a unique problem because it requires to be replaced by "hair bearing tissue", for a cosmetic appearance. Depending on the site and the extent of areas the modalities of treatment are worked out and customized to every case for an optimum result. The options include hair transplant by follicular unit grafting or tissue expansion. Post burn hair loss can result in small focal areas of hair loss or large areas. Skin Grafting involves the transfer of skin from a healthy part of the body to cover the injured area. The graft is said to "takeĒ when new blood vessels and scar tissue form in the injured area. While most grafts from a person's own skin are successful, sometimes the graft doesn't take. All grafts leave some scarring at the donor and recipient sites. Itís very important to follow our instructions after surgery to make sure the wound heals properly. Although you may be up and about very quickly, we will advise you to gradually resume your normal activities.

If scar revision is performed to minimize scarring from an injury or to improve your ability to function, it may be at least partially covered. Check your policy or call your carrier to be sure. The treated area may take several weeks or months to heal, and a support garment or bandage may be necessary for up to a year. Insurance usually doesn't cover cosmetic procedures. Flap surgery is a complex procedure in which skin, along with the underlying fat, blood vessels, and sometimes the muscle, is moved from a healthy part of the body to the injured site. Regi.
