Visiting natural wonders like the Galapagos Islands poses difficult questions about its sustainability (natural, social and economic). Following an analysis of the concepts of sustainability and sustainable development and identifying two clear models of tourist influx to the islands, it is clear that the uniqueness of the Galapagos Islands faces pressures from increasing numbers of tourists.
