Two theories collided in my poor brain. With the aid of Andromeda's red shift, Edwin Hubble announced that the universe is expanding. On the other hand, we have been told innumerable times that Andromeda is heading toward a collision with Milky Way. I suppose someone has a math formula that will show how two galaxies that are moving away from each other can collide.
