Received 100 Spindle Palm seeds from a private party in Florida. I agreed to receive these seeds with the fruit still on them as it indicates just how fresh they are. I put them all in a bucket with a little water and river sand rubbing them in my hands. Within 10 minutes, all of the fruit was removed. Because these had been picked 3 days earlier, I felt there was NO need to do a water soak for a couple days. I did put them in a 10% water/bleach bath for 15 minutes. If these arrived dry, I would do a 2 to 4 day water soak, then the bleach bath. I am no longer using the baggy method, but instead using 7" sealable plastic containers.
